LOUIS, May 7, 2019—Core & Main LP, a leading U.S. distributor of water, sewer and fire protection products, announced today that it is the proud sponsor of the waterworks competitions at the American Water Works Association’s Annual Conference and Expo, ACE19, June 10 to June 12, 2019 at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver.
The Core & Main team will exhibit in the Championship Lounge next to the competition staging area in the exhibit hall. National competitions include: Hydrant Hysteria, Meter Madness, Pipe Tapping and Top Ops. Top performers from across the country will compete for glory in such activities as reassembling water meters from a bucket of parts in less than a minute to drilling pipe to tap into a new water line in record time. In addition, Core & Main’s Jack Schaller, president of waterworks, will serve as an expert judge in the annual Best of the Best Taste Test, which determines which of the AWWA section members will claim the honor of the best tasting tap water in North America.
This year attendees at ACE19 will explore the impact of innovation on the future of water. Core & Main will celebrate key milestones in the waterworks history at the convention and engage members online about their industry opinions on upcoming innovations important to our water supply and sustainability.
