Carrie Busbee

Carrie Busbee is chief information officer of Core & Main, a leading specialized distributor with a focus on water, wastewater, storm drainage and fire protection products, and related services. As information technology leader, Busbee clears the path for the use of technology as a strategic enabler for the company and its customers.

Under her leadership, Core & Main’s information technology department has focused on laying the groundwork to realize competitive advantages through technology advancements in industrial distribution. Her focus on technical infrastructure helped the company counter the disruption of COVID-19, jump-starting planned digital solutions that enabled business continuity for an essential workforce. Busbee fosters a customer-oriented culture, with a proven track record of empowering her team to deliver solutions that enable growth while maintaining stable and secure systems.

Prior to joining Core & Main, Busbee served in various roles at HD Supply, including director of enterprise applications, where she led the enterprise eCommerce team, and as director of data and analytics for the facilities maintenance (FM) business unit. Under her leadership, FM developed and executed a data strategy to create a data-driven culture and support a consumer-focused eCommerce experience.

Busbee earned her master’s degree from Hamilton Holt School at Rollins College and bachelor’s degree in managerial studies from Rice University. She serves as a mentor in the University of Central Florida's Women in Science and Engineering program. Busbee is a graduate of Leadership Orlando program. In 2023 she won the CIO of the Year in the large enterprise category at the Florida Orbie awards.
