Evelyn Swanson

Evelyn Swanson is vice president of learning and organizational development
for Core & Main, a leading distributor of waterworks and fire protection
infrastructure products in the U.S.

Swanson leads Core & Main's talent development strategy and execution. She
leads the development and delivery of over 30 instructor-led courses. Through
her leadership, her team has developed a network of over 90 subject matter
experts who serve as facilitators for the company's internal courses. Swanson
also implemented the company's 360 evaluation, succession planning and
talent development processes. In addition, her team oversees three leadership
development programs for recent college graduates.

With over 30 years of experience, Swanson has developed learning, team and talent management solutions that are an essential and highly valued part of every Core & Main associate's experience. She has coached leaders at all levels in team dynamics, communication, problem-solving and decisionmaking. She has facilitated hundreds of leadership and executive sessions. Swanson and her team built a learning program ranked 23rd globally by Apex Magazine in 2023.

Swanson is certified in world-class programs such as the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, DISC Profile, Situational Leadership II, and Zenger-Folkman's 360 and has her designation as a certified professional coach. She earned her Bachelor of Science from Georgia College & State University. She has completed master's work in adult education at the University of North Carolina-Charlotte.
